So it’s Friday, and you’re ready to turn up.
I decided to get your weekend off right by listing some of the best dance videos of recent memory.
Music videos can either propel a song, or kill them. I’m usually a big fan of them when they are done right and not pieced together at the last minute. Plus, with video streams counting toward the Billboard Hot 100 it’s imperative to make a video of quality.
These videos should not only raise your spirits, but give you the confidence in yourself to break these moves out this weekend. Remember, I’m all about the soul train life, so here are some of the ways you can really be the life of the party.
I’m going to make another one of these eventually. So if I forgot your one of your favorites feel free to let me know how pressed you are in the comments section.
*Disclaimer: Chances are you are not as good as any of these artists. Please, for the safety of others and yourself, be careful.
‘Get Me Bodied’ – Beyonce
I could’ve gone the “easy” route and said ‘Single Ladies’, but this is a better song. And she basically yells out all of the moves for you. Great video.
‘My Love’ – Justin Timberlake feat. TI
Easily one of my favorite videos of all time *mic snatch*. ‘My Love’ was not only a high point on Future Sex/Love Sounds, but the video is the best he’s ever released. If anyone ever doubts Justin as a performer just have them take a look at this. The best male performer since Michael Jackson.
I can do the stomp-stomp-swish, CAN YOU?
‘Get Right’ – Jennifer Lopez
Classic high school anthem. Best Jennifer Lopez video, and maybe song. What’s better than a hip-hop song that lead with horns? The answer is nothing.
‘Fine China’ – Chris Brown
It pains me to say this, but you can’t deny the showmanship of Chris. Aside from the singing in the car section, the video flows perfect. I said before that the song is a complete smash. If only he just sang, danced, and did nothing else ever.
‘Yeah’ – Usher
Ok, this right here. THIS RIGHT HERE. Middle school would’ve never been the same. Thank you Usher for the 8th grade prom memories. This was Usher on top of his game. The music matched the visuals perfectly. It’s no wonder the song took the world by storm.
‘Where Have You Been’ – Rihanna
She’s not the best dancer. This is the closest thing we’ll ever get from her. Treasure it. And the songs is absolute fire too.
‘Gimme Dat’ – Ciara
Let’s be honest, the song is ehh. It has all the qualities of a good song, but something’s missing. Not sure what it is, but it doesn’t matter because the video slays. Ciara is one of the best dancers in the game. This videos proves it.
‘Touch’ – Omarion
Bet you didn’t see this one coming.
And I’m digging back to the golden years (1999/2000) for our last two. We will never forget these.
‘…Baby One More Time’ – Britney Spears
‘Bye, Bye Bye’ – N’Sync
